Bring “Towards Respectful Relationships” to Your Community
The Towards Respectful Relationships program is an innovative, trauma-informed youth initiative that uses facilitated filmmaking to empower young people, encourage respectful conversations, and strengthen emotional wellbeing. Developed through the Rotary Club of Kingscliff in partnership with schools, wellbeing staff, community organisations, and industry mentors, the project has already demonstrated strong outcomes for participating students and local communities.
Now entering its next stage of growth, the project is expanding beyond Kingscliff, with opportunities for other Rotary clubs and communities to become involved and deliver the program within their own regions.
A Proven Community Partnership Model
The success of Towards Respectful Relationships is built on collaboration. Rotary clubs work alongside schools, youth wellbeing teams, local police, facilitators, and community partners to create a safe and supportive environment where students can express themselves through storytelling and filmmaking.
The program is designed to:
